Abstract
Brazilian spinach has not been widely consumed and cultivated by Indonesian people even though it provides excellent health benefits and is easy to cultivate. This Brazilian spinach cultivation training aims to empower urban communities, especially the Gemah Ripah farmer group in Bausasran Village to support the food security program in the Special Region of Yogyakarta utilizing small gardens in their urban area. Spinach planting was done by utilizing vacant land and alleys to plant Brazilian spinach using pots by placing them on a multilevel shelf to accommodate many plants. Good layout setting has been proven to enhance the beauty of the environment thus, attracting the visitors to pick the vegetables by themselves. These conditions turned their garden into a tourist and photo spot. The visitors can also enjoy processed Brazilian spinach products as the output of this training. Various Brazilian spinach processed snacks have been produced, such as Brazilian spinach sticks, chips, juices, puddings, nuggets, noddle, and many other products
